Five steps on how to replace fear with faith

Five steps on how to replace fear with faith

Step 1: Proverbs 1:7

Understand that when we take the dread out of the unknown and use this to reverence the known than we come to experience Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…”

Step 2: Joshua 10:8

Remember “to fear them not” is the key verse here and repeat over and over again that greater is he that is within me than the enemy that is on the outside. We must practice trusting what we don’t see to experience victory.

Step 3: Deuteronomy 3:22

Allow the Lord to fight our battles and this will allow a change of perspective on how we approach our life situations, because many of us react out of fear and then regret a lot of our decisions. If we struggle with being impulsive than we have to examine why we act so quickly without thinking. Can it be that the apprehension has our thinking in suspension? The bible declares “Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.” Deuteronomy 3:22 Now is the time to allow the holy spirit to lead and guide us to all truth as we give the Lord the opportunity to fight our battles for us.

Step 4: John 14:27

Time to release the peace “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Relax in the confidence we have in the blessed word of God because this confidence will give us an open mind for a solution that lead us to the answer for our problems.

Step 5: Psalm 23:4

We have to walk by faith as we journey through the valley of death because “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 keeping in mind that as we move forward with our plans the Lord is by our side comforting us.

These life changing principles if applied will relieve us of our cries and in summation as we think on these things we must force ourselves into action. Act on not dreading, replacing fearful thoughts with repeating scripture over and over again. Then relaxing ourselves with an open mind to allow the Lord to fight our battles and this will prepare us for the peace to be release in our lives. Then we will be able to walk through our valleys with trusting the Lord that is with us on this journey.
