The hurt and the pain,
So many difficulties to name,
Suffering through the shame,
Really wanting things to change,
Too many difficulties to share,
Agony and frustration in the air,
Just an ounce of hope,
This will help us cope,
Not the smile that stabs in the back,
But some joy to get us through the attack,
The joy of the lord is our strength,
This is how the rest of the days will be spent,
Having joy that is heavenly sent,
Is the only way to be forever content,
