Experiencing the absence of fear

February 23, 2017

Fear is defined as psycho-physiological responses to a real external threat or danger. There are a lot of sayings out there but how many of us can truly say when a decision is to be made we are not assessing the possibility of the danger that might be involved in a risk. Often if no thought is given to a decision many will make impulsive decisions, or we carefully analyze our options and decrease our risk by choosing the most logical course of action. However, if we stop and think about the times when impulsive decisions were made out of fear the results might not be pleasant. Also, analyzing options constantly because of the threat or danger might come from our memories that haunt us from the past. Therefore fear of not making the same mistake can be good or bad for us and depending on the situation with our impulses a quick decision is necessary. What about a healthy balance? This healthy balance is the absence of unhealthy fear. The sun shines brighter on this side of life. Appreciation for the finer things in life is enjoyed and the peace of God is experienced on a new level. A healthy balance of positive fear is the fear of God. This helps us reject the fear of what is seen because this attacks our dream. In the absence of fear we can multiply, replenish, subdue and dominate our thinking with productive thoughts.
